CPU CERTIFIED TRAINING CENTERS:

The Canadian Powerlifting Union recognizes specific training facilities nationwide as Certified Training Centres (CTC).  CTCs function as a means of promoting the sport and providing a physical location for our athletes to train.  They also serve as locations for powerlifting related events and education.  In addition to upholding the standards of the organization, they must meet the following requirements:

  • Company is responsible for a $200 one time payment to the Canadian Powerlifting Union to complete process.

  • The company must display the banner in clear view inside.

  • Company must have at least one competition spec lever-adjustable squat/bench press rack or equivalent as featured in CPU/IPF competition (Combo Rack, Eleiko, ER, Bull, ect.).

  • Variety of equipment that a CPU Powerlifting lifter would need to adequately train for a competition including but not limited to: 20kg barbell (Eleiko, Ivanko, Leoko, Rogue, Titex), kilo-calibrated discs (Eleiko, Ivanko, Leoko, Titex), power rack, and lifting platform.

  • Company will be listed on the CPU website (below) under "Certified Training Centers"

The facility will meet all the requirements listed above. The facility will become a Certified Training Center by paying a one-time fee of $200 to the CPU, provide proof of equipment, and return the signed agreement. The CTC will be listed on the CPU main website and be promoted on social media when announced.

All participating organizations receive an official letter and one CPU Powerlifting banner for display.  Additional advantages of becoming an CTC are increased visibility for the training facilities, CPU Powerlifting, coaches, and lifters.
