Bill Jamison

It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform you of the passing of Bill Jamison.

For those of you that had the fortune of knowing him you knew that he was a kind and generous man and the cornerstone of Canadian Powerlifting.

Among many other things, Bill was a lifter, coach, the founder of the OPA and the CPU, and the longest standing IPF referee. He was well regarded and respected by everyone that he met. He was very proud of all of the lifters, coaches and volunteers who have taken this sport to the next level.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. Bill will be deeply missed.

Bill was the father of this sport, but also a father. Bill Jamison was a passionate builder of the sport of powerlifting. My condolences go out to the entire Jamison family
